Contracted by a customer in the defense industry, we created this one of a kind stainless steel structure. Designed for use as a wind tunnel observation booth, it utilized a wide range of our precision capabilities.

We developed CAD models from the customers’ specifications, which called out dimensions of 16’ in length and 9’ in width. It was composed of 316 stainless steel of various thicknesses and met tolerances of ±0.060”. Prior to forming and assembly, individual components were saw and laser cut. Fabrication of machined components utilized our precision CNC machining capabilities, as well as bending and forming by our team of skilled craftsmen. The finished components polished to a 2-B finish, and assembled with fasteners and welding. All of our fabrication processes utilize statistical process control (SPC) to verify a number of quality competencies throughout fabrication.
